I think the flash light works great for the price. It is significantly better than the older Maglites due to the LED. I can clearly see around twenty yards. However, I haven't tested it for further distances, as I don't think my neighbors would appreciate it if I beam it at there houses during the night. I think it's perfect for light jobs or as a pocket light, but I've got it mounted on my WASR-10 with Command Arms Mount item# 54668. It works perfect for me because I don't intend to use it for long distance night shooting. As for ratings, I didn't give it five bullets because there are better flashlights, but I do feel it was worth the buy. So it gets the a high rating just not the top rating.
