Heavy duty, 07/11/2007 |

| I have to agree with Nate's review, I have this gun in both 177 and 22 it is heavy but I shoot from shooting sticks or a rest and out to 35 yards. I find that wind with the 177 or the rainbow arc of the pellet in .22 interfere with hitting sparrows, grackles, and starlings past 35 yards. It does kill them dead, and I am happy with the price and the accuracy of this gun |
Not a bad gun at all!, 04/01/2007 |

| I ordered this as a backup to my Gamo Shadow 1000 /w the varmint scope (I have a skink problem). I was a little disappointed with the first shot groups, but my rifle technique has never been that great and as I've been breaking the gun in (with the first 100 rounds or so) and learning the ins and outs of this rifle I can say I've really taken a liking to it. So if you get this one, don't freak out if your groups are initially all over the place (two inches at twenty yards). It will improve with break-in. I haven't bagged any skinks yet but I've been reliably shooting the necks off of bottles at twenty yards since the initial frustrations. I haven't tested it it longer ranges, so I can't comment on anything past 20 yards.
The rifle seems a little on the heavy side, but it shouldn't be a real problem for bigger folk (I'm 6'1") as it's well balanced. It has a nice look to it and for a low end Beeman I'll say that it's worth the money. |
