I got this to install on my FAL, figuring I could trim some plastic with an exacto-knife to make it fit. I needed a grinder, 'cuz this material is extremely tough. Incidentally, if I had put it on my AR handguard, as it is designed, it would have fit perfectly with no modification.
The only down-side is that, with one slot, not all accessories that claim to be for picatinny rails actually fit well on it, but if you can clamp it on, it ain't going anywhere.
