i had been using federal's bulk .22 lr ammunition for a few years with very little problem, but last year my ruger mark iii hunter target pistol started misfiring or not feeding bullets or not ejecting shells an average of 30% of the time. in my quest to find the perfect .22 lr bullet, i tried other .22 lr brands---remington, cci, lapua, aguila, etc.---in different loads, without success. yesterday, i saw this federal automatch bulk pack at our local wal-mart. i bought 2 packs. my son and i fired all 650 bullets in our ruger mark iii. only 1 misfire. no feeding or ejection problems. i guess i won't be sending the ruger mark iii back to ruger for repair. i guess i'll be buying more of this federal automatch .22 lr ammunition. even with the higher price, the actual cost comes out about even when you consider the number of bullets we've wasted on misfires, feeding and ejection problems.

I have had nothing but great results using Federal Automatch in several of my .22lr arms. I have a tricked out 10-22 that just loves this stuff. I have a .920 Adams and Bennet barrel installed and can get ragged, one hole groups at 50 yards with this load. I also get tight groups with a Marlin 39 lever using Automatch. Out of my MkIII, I can print 10 rounds in the 10 ring at 25 yards, bench rested with the wonderful adjustable iron sights. There for a while, Automatch was getting hard to find but now seems to be available for shooters in the know. The price is right for a bulk packed round and I never expected to get these results from a bulk load. It also cycles very reliably in all of my semi automatic weapons. Great stuff.

I shot the entire box not one malfuntion. quick clean up and accurate even in high cross wind. i will definetly buy a lot more

Great plinking rounds. And at 40-Gr weight, they are fairly accurate on a range with a moderate cross wind (as long as you compensate) Overall very pleased with this purchase, and will buy more.
