I bought 1000 of these bullets when they were on a really, really good sale. Speer told me that they could not be loaded in a 223 cartridge and that a 223 barrel would spin these bullets to fast and that they would blow apart coming out of the barrel and the speed would be too fast. They are made for a 22 Hornet. I loaded them anyway in a 223 cartridge with 20 and 21 grains of H335 powder. My C.O.A.L. was 2.100 av....And they were crimped in using Lee's 223 crimper die, because of the bullet not being able to be seated very deep. At 100 yards I am getting sub moa. Five shots can be covered with a Nickel. Shooting a Hawkeye and a Savage model 12. They never blew apart. At 175yds, Thats the furthest I can get, 8/10 were bullseyes. They were also devastating on 2x4 pieces of wood. I plan on using some of these to shoot prairie dogs in September. Remember, these are not made for these type of loading!!!!
