| Good solid stock for 10/22, 04/26/2008 |

| As ammo prices continue to soar, I've been looking for an alternative to buying .223/various 7.62/5.45 and other military ammo while practicing using the accessories I use on my M-4. This is a solid stock all around. It fits the contours of my stainless barrel quite well, and the factory knockout for the 10/22 came out rather easily. The receiver and barrel fit snugly within the stock. For those who are used to a good ComBloc folding stock, beware this assembly seems unwieldy when compared to Eastern European folding stocks with a seemingly unnecessarily large rear assembly and a gap on the inside left side when the stock is extended or folded. However, the stock locks very solidly in both the open and the closed, a major plus when shooting from either position. An Eagle 30 round magazine fits and functions with the stock in either position. A BMF activator will not fit with the stock folded. Also, beware using a 10/22 tactical rail with the stock. I didn't use the enclosed front end barrel spacer when I installed in, and the rail forward of the factory scope mount seems to slant downward. Consider filing down the portion forward of the stock barrel band attachment slightly to allow for a better fit, or find longer allen screws. I just moved to a new area and don't know where a good hardware store is, so maybe in time I can get some longer screws and fit this stock properly. Overall, this is a rock solid stock, and I recommend this to anyone who wants to spice up their 10/22 and give it a good "politically incorrect" look. Finally, I'm not a paid representative; I've just had good luck with this setup and want to share my good luck with others. May it work as well for you as it works for me! |

| now I'm not picky when comes to stocks, and it just so happens this one caught my eye ( for those who are saying that i only looked at stocks at ctd, wrong i cruised rimfirecenteral.com for many a week) and i got this stock even thought not many people like them. And just recently when i received my .920 green mountain barrel it was rather simple to file out the barrel channel to accept the barrel (if you have questions or would like pics email me at friskydingo@gmail.com). For a closing statement, i enjoy this stock. |
