This mount works just fine if you have a tube of "loctite" and an ACE Hardware, Lowes or a jar of mini washers close by. Half the battle is installing the new trigger and hammer pins. My custom Vector AK was being most uncooperative. Once the pins are in, do not over tighten them for this can put a squeeze on the receiver and bind up all actions. Now you can screw on the scope mount. If it wiggles around a bit once attached, place a small and narrow washer between the mount and the then screw hole. That will take up the slack and make the mount stable and stable for a light weight scope or red dot. Don't forget to "Loctite" all screws!!! So now it works just fine with my AK and the Aimpoint red dot.

They don't tell you that this mount will not fit your ak if it has a side mount already installed! I tried to put it on mine and found out the hard way. Then while torquing the screws one broke. On inspection It had been drilled almost the whole way through. I sent it back to the company over six months ago, and still no refund. I got one that slides on the side mount and am very satisfied. I should not have wasted my money on this one!!!

Good well made solid mount. Easy to install, but the directions were quite poor. On my NHM 91, I had to shim the scope, it ran out of adjustment so something is canted, either the mount or the receiver. I am not sure I can blame the mount. The obvious downside is the need to remove the mount to service the weapon.

Good idea, bad idea. Well I didn't think about it when I bought it, but we you look at it, you can tell you are not going to be able to take the gun apart with this on. You can get it down to the operating rod/piston and bolt but you can't pull them out. Not too big of a deal, it's an AK, you can get it clean enough. When I was putting it in I tightened the bolt down too tight and broke it, had to get a new one sent from B-Square. When I went out to shoot it the screws didn't stay tight. I would suggest lock tite.
