great piece of equipment that is needed in every gun safe. sturdy housing to protest it from bumps and dings on the range or in the field. have it mounted on my m4, zeroed it 4 years ago and haven't needed to readjust it except only to adjust it between countries to adjust for the location craziness that affects all weapons zero. the rounded edges are perfect as they do not 'snag' onto web gear, ghillie suits, shrubs, etc. the night vision is not on my model but still just as effective because i really haven't aimed thru it with my NODs when it gets hairy out there. but the NV option us a must, ill get another with that in mind. i use the iron sights when i want to. never needed it cause of failure, but its good assurance to know u have a backup right there if needed. all in all, 5 stars from me. as usual...personal preference in the field. b safe out there.
