Regarding these Baby Eagle 13-round .40 S&W factory mags that only comfortably hold 12 rounds...I had the same problems with both magazines that came with my new gun. I emailed my concerns to Magnum Research customer service from the link on their website, and promptly received this response: "Some magazine springs are stiffer than others, after a while you may get 13-rounds; as the spring gets broken in." Apparently, they're sticking with their story that these are true 13-round magazines...just not "broken in" when new. I originally got 13 rounds in my new mag with (excessive) force applied to the stack...but the gun would not strip the first round when I pushed the slide release. I won't be doing that again, so I'm a 12+1 man unless and until the gun can reliably strip and feed that 13th round into the chamber on its own. Also got to remember that jamming that 13th round could possibly damage the mag lips and/or spring, and that's no good either. Guess we'll all just have to give it some time and see if the spring breaks-in to a point it will take that last round. The magazines aren't 13rd magazines, they're actually 12+1 magazines.

These magazines do not hold 13 rounds, only 12. This is not a CTD error, it comes from either Magnum Research or IWI. Neither of the two included with my BDE will accomodate 13 rounds, either. Otherwise the magazine is just fine.
