The box is cheap, the lock is even cheaper, "the spring loaded" door is ridiculous, it doesnt have power to make the door open if the door is facing up. I'm really sorry I purchased this thing, I should have spent a little more for something better.

The safe seems to be well constructed and pretty secure, but the keys are of a slightly different design than the ones pictured, and the lock does not operate as smoothly as I would have hoped. It seems to catch a bit when turned about half way, in both directions (locking and unlocking). I'm pretty sure it will be fine, and the problem may work itself out over the years as the lock is "broken in" (probably not the best expression to use when talking about a safe). I shopped around at Office Depot, Walmart, Target, and Office Max before buying this one, and this safe is cheaper and higher quality than anything I could find in the same price-point at the aforementioned retailers. Definitely worth considering if you don't need water- or fire-proofing.

For the price this is a very good deal. I can fit 200+ rounds, my glock 17 and 3 clips inside. It comes with mounting hardware and also instructions and templates for a wall. The one thing cool I liked was that this item is stack able. You can make a wall of safes if you choose to do so.

After reading reviews after reviews on gun safes i had to make up my mind. I needed a safe that would not kill the bank account but would keep the gun away from the kids. With only two reviews on this it was a hard call. I made up my mind and just went with it hoping for the best. I got the box and was vary happy with it. There is foam on every side/top&bottom and even the door it's self. I'm not talking about cheap foam I'm talking heavy foam that will keep the gun safe. Comes with two keys and it works great. Reason why it's a 4 star for me is because the mounting. Hardware bag ripped open in side the safe and got stuck so the lock did not work right. But after banging it around i got every thing out and it worked great. Much more happy with this safe then one i just got from Galls. Must have for gun owners with kids. You cant really see it in the photo but the steel has a hammered affect to it and makes it look really cool. Other then the just Black powder coating.

I came across this little safe while looking for something other than the old humidor that we used to keep my wife's .38 in. With our 2-year old boy starting to get into everything, we needed something more secure. Being that we really could not afford much at the time, I decided on this safe. I am glad I did! This thing meets every requirement we had! It even comes with mounting screws and pre-drilled holes to mount it almost any where. I decided to mount the top of the safe to the underside of the bed frame. Out of sight. Secure. Yet easy to get to in an emergency! Most importantly, I know my son won't get ahold of it 'til he is old enough to take shooting! Ihave recomended it to all of my friends and would do thr same to anyone in need of a means to inexpensively secure thier handgun or precious items. The only thing I find that might deter someone from buying this product is that it is not water or fire proof. Other than that, this is the perfect little safe to keep my son safe!
